Preserving & Restoring Ancient Scriptures
Jan 30, 2025
Introduction
Knowledge is the foundation of our spiritual heritage, yet countless sacred Jain books lie forgotten in homes, gathering dust or facing unintentional neglect due to lack of space. To resolve this and uphold the sanctity of Jinshasan, we present our Community Scripture Collection Drive—an initiative dedicated to respectfully gathering unused literature from Sanghs, societies, and households to ensure every book is treated with the honor it deserves.
A Movement of Respect and Responsibility
This initiative goes beyond simple collection—it is a spiritual duty to prevent Ashaatna (disrespect) of knowledge. By organizing systematic collection drives across various towns and societies, we provide families with a responsible way to clear their book inventory. Our volunteers ensure that every scripture is handled with care, sorted, and directed toward its best possible use, rather than ending up as waste.
Why It Matters Scriptures are priceless, yet modern challenges threaten their physical preservation:
Unintended Neglect – Families often possess old books they can no longer read or store properly.
Risk of Disposal – Without a proper channel, sacred texts risk being discarded with general waste.
Lost Knowledge – Valuable texts remain hidden in private cupboards instead of circulating in the community. Every book collected is a step toward reducing waste and strengthening our collective spiritual consciousness.
How You Can Help
Donate Books – Hand over your unused religious books to our collection centers.
Host a Drive – Organize a collection day in your specific society or Sangh.
Volunteer – Assist in the logistics of gathering and transporting books.
Spread the Word – Inform friends and family about this responsible disposal option.
Building Lifes Together
From education to relief, every cause carries our mission to uplift and empower.
