Shrut Sangam — A Beautiful Initiative: Shrut Satkar
In our busy lives many religious books gifted at ceremonies or bought with devotion end up unread—stuck in cupboards, boxes, or storerooms. Though these books hold priceless knowledge, if they remain unused that wisdom never reaches the community.
That is why the inspiring campaign Shrut Satkar exists. Shrut Satkar collects such unread Jain books, restores and catalogs them, and returns them to libraries, schools, researchers, and eager readers—bringing those books back into the flow of knowledge.
Key points of the initiative:
Collecting: Encouraging families to donate religious and philosophical books that are unused.
Conservation: Cleaning, repairing, and rebinding books so they are fit for reading again.
Redistribution: Sending restored books to Jain knowledge libraries, schools, research centres, and individuals who seek them.
Digitisation & Cataloguing (via Shrut Sangam): Building searchable records so rare works are discoverable.
This work connects readers to resources that can inspire students, inform researchers, and guide spiritual seekers—proving that one book can brighten many lives.
A special thanks to Sandeepbhai Shah and all dedicated volunteers whose efforts have made this possible. Their labor transforms forgotten books into living sources of learning.
We invite every family to look through their shelves: if you have Jain scriptures or religious texts lying unused, consider donating them to Shrut Satkar. Your small act can become a priceless gift of knowledge to someone else.
